I was rushing out in the morning and didn’t have time to leave food for all the birds and squirrels who look forward to their meal outside my balcony.
I requested my son, who is a Public Policy major, to do the needful. Just before leaving, I asked him, “You do know what to do na?”
His reply, “I have to ensure a democratic destribution of birdfeed so that no one creature is neglected or exploited. For this I shall make small piles of grains all over, ensuring that the smallest and the largest…the strongest and the weakest will have their fair share, without fighting for it.”
Needless to say, I left in great haste!
A sky full of monsoon clouds, breeze and pigeons! Dancing, chasing, frolicking, just delighted to be alive at that very moment! It’s so beautiful to just look at them and say a quiet ‘Thank You!’ To whoever or whatever it is that makes all this possible!😀
Make a safe place for the birds to visit and sit back and enjoy an ever changing scenario of beauty right outside your window. Never has so little effort yielded such rich dividends!
I have my camera ready with a zoom lens for just such scenes…the ones that not only give me joy,
but in their sharing, bring a smile to so many faces.😀!
A perforated sky, angelic light and birds heading home…the kind of scene that make one stop by the roadside and just relish the magical, dramatic moment of an unforgettable sunset 🙂
There is a particular pleasure in viewing the animal world as having human emotions and feelings…here I imagine them as being uniformly startled by something 🙂
