Beautiful innocence

After Steve McCurrys portrait shot of the ‘Afghan Girl’ , this is the second photograph, shot by Sudhir Ramachandran that has me smitten!
The expression on both, mother and child speak happy volumes of pure bliss 🙂

The Mighty Road

‘The Road goes ever on and on

Down from the door where it began.

Now far ahead the Road has gone,

And I must follow, if I can,

pursuing it with eager feet,

Until it joins some larger way

Where many paths and errands meet.

And wither then? I cannot say..’

Such Days..Such Views…Such Blessings!

Imagine waking up to such beauty! It was during a trip to the North East part of our beautiful country that we came upon a stunning village nestled amongst gorgeous hills. Pedong, was quaint and small and a walkers haven. Wake up early, and stroll till you find a little shop selling freshly brewed tea, made on a clay stove. The taste is inimitble!

A Prayer for the Traveller…

“May all travellers find happiness

everywhere they go

and without any effort

may they accomplish

wheatever they set out to do.”

While travelling to the North-East part of India, one is enchanted by many big and small things. The eyes have to be focused and the camera ready to capture these memories.

Outside a small home called, Lama Hut, this prayer was pasted on a white sheet of paper. It struck a chord immediately and I am reposting it here so that everyone can enjoy the beauty, simplicity and sincerity of it 🙂

Travel safe!

Another perspective, another Life..

The temperature is soaring high in New Delhi. As I wait at the red light crossing, I survey my surroundings. The landscape looks dreary and bleak. Suddenly the side view mirror reflects a startling burst of colour in the form of balls being transported on a bicycle. The visibly hunched man propels his cargo through the sweltering heat that I was complaining about from my air-conditioned car…
