It’s rare, but…

I woke up in the morning and was wondering about my sketch for the day when a beautiful photograph materialised on Facebook.

Without thinking twice,  I made a quick watercolour and posted it in my album on FB titled, ‘A sketch a Day’ after giving due credit to the photographer for providing the inspiration.

In no time I received a message from an online magazine asking me if they could use my sketch, as I had no objection, the excerpt below is what they did with it!!
Its Rare….

When the two art’s merge, The epic combination happens…..

Left Side Photograph.

Aayee Baarish !

The arrival of monsoons brings forth endless opportunities for photographers to capture the beauty of the season. Those dreamy, pastel shaded landscapes to interesting street scenes, just sit in a dingy corner of a roadside tea shop and watch the magic of rainy season. The only challenge remains the safety of camera equipment, especially lenses.

Waiting…

The heat and the earth are so much a part of some people. It seems that they are carved out of the very stone on which they rest their weary bodies…

Patience courses through their veins like blood. They know not to hurry time… They have been at it mercy always…

Now they sit still, as still as the figures engraved upon the urns that they wait to sell….

Sometimes…

The dance is always within us

Sometimes we forget the rhythm

The song is always within us

Sometimes we forget the lyrics

The story is always within us us

Sometimes we forget the words

The answers are all within us

Sometimes we forget the questions

Everything that we need, is there

It’s just that we forget….

Water roads and Lilly embankments!

When taking a ride on a shikara in the backwaters of the Dal lake, the parting between the Lilly pads become roads for navigation! At a certain point a right turn takes you to a floating market, another one to the main lake, yet another to a housing colony of homes on stilts. .

I am told that when the Lillies and Lotus bloom, sometime in June, these backwaters are a sight to behold! Imagine water roads and Lilly embankments! Truly magical! .
