Freedom of Art!

Ever felt that things were moving too smoothly? That they needed a little ‘shake up’? This was exactly how I felt when making this painting๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŽจ… It was plain boring, till I started just ‘throwing’ colours in and blending them with my fingers! Ah! The pure, uninhibited joy has to be experienced to be felt๐Ÿ˜… When it was properly saturated I took a deep breath, scrubbed my hands and admired my handiwork๐Ÿ˜…

Creating my own Lilly Pond ๐Ÿ˜Š

Using a palette knife is one of the most exciting ways to paint. The results are unexpected and mostly quite energetic and vibrant to look at.

After the gentleness of watercolours, this is a particularly heavy technique.

It’s these opposites that attract me to art so greatly ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ˜

Painting – Lotus Love… The world we need ๐ŸŽจ

It’s one of the last days of the tail-end of the winter season. I decided to paint outdoors… Make a subject that remains closest to my heart… A Lotus pond

The entire experience was magical and utterly peaceful.

With the birds chirping and a gentle breeze blowing, I painted like there was no tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜Š

Spring!! In a set of Three Paintings

I started with one canvas, but the simple joy of greens and reds was too much to resist ๐Ÿ˜Š

The quick drying medium of acrylic is very attractive in that respect. It urges one to ‘get on with it’ no excuses!

It’s nice to push all thoughts aside and just plunge into colour and see what comes out of it… No expectations, except to enjoy a lazy spring afternoon๐Ÿ˜
