I find it very useful to change mediums of art to keep the excitement of painting alive. Today I painted with water colors, above

Pencil colors, a medium that I realised is hugely underrated. It is fun to use, easy to handle and gives great effect when merged with other colors…

And…charcoals. This is something that I find most challenging and exciting. I need to explore it more extensively and intensively in order to get anywhere with it but today I took the first few steps in that direction πŸ™‚

The biggest lesson I learnt was to find out things for myself. No matter what a book teaches or whatΒ  someone says…there’s nothing to beat first hand experience πŸ™‚

You couldn’t have seen vegetables fresher than these! Freshly plucked and instantly displayed for tourists and travellers to pick up. They have the entire journey to plan the menu πŸ™‚

Maybe it is in coming face to face with our own fraility that we realise the beauty of our very existence on this planet. And it is in travelling that we realise that life is so much more than we make it out to be…..

The gorgeous ‘Laburnum’ or the equally exotically named ‘Amaltas’ is in full bloom these days. Standing under a fully blooming tree coats the body with a gorgeous sunlit glow that bounces off our dark Indian hair in flashes of light!

An amazing, captivating, intoxicating sight….Just lean back against the smooth bark, raise your head towards the millions of hanging blooms and click a shot in your minds eye for posterity πŸ™‚
